Thanks Steve. I've seen the Esys and Humanware's Connect. The manual of the Esys just finished me, though the thought of being able to keep a document in the display was good. The Braille Connect seemed OK but the spacebars were too much on the edge of the display (to save space) which meant a slow-down in writing ...
Perhaps I'll just go on wishing ... but thanks for the list. -- Carol carol.pearson29@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxOn Wednesday, April 15, 2009 4:01 PM (UK time), Steve Nutt at steve@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx said:
Hi Carol, This is tricky. The reason is that each manufacturer have their own drivers. Talks does not support Braille directly without a driver. For example, all Handytech Braille displays are supported, as is the Humanware Connect series, and the EuroBraille Esys 12 and Esys 40. Those are the only displays I know that are supported. I'd be most grateful if anyone can point me in the right direction.Thanks.
