Hello Russel and all, The PAC Mate display is not supported and will not be unless Freedom Scientific writes a Human Interface Device protocol driver for it. Now here is some information to get you started down the Braille display road with Serotek: You should power on any Braille Device before attempting connection to your computer. For USB, simply plug it in and wait for the found new hardware wizard to complete. For Bluetooth, you will need to complete installation of hardware and software provided by the manufacturer according to their instruction. Once the Braille Device is paired with Bluetooth on your computer, System Access or SAMNet will see it and report that it is connected. The following are the supported Braille displays and their limitations: 1. Alva BC640: A. USB support: YES. B. Bluetooth support: Yes. C. Cursor routing: Yes. D. Keyboard input: Yes. 2. Handy-tech Easy-Braille: A. USB support: YES. B. Bluetooth support: Yes. C. Cursor routing: Yes. D. Keyboard input: No. 3. Humanware Braille-Connect: A. USB support: YES. B. Bluetooth support: Yes. C. Cursor routing: No. D. Keyboard input: No. 4. Humanware Brailliant: A. USB support: YES. B. Bluetooth support: Yes. C. Cursor routing: No. D. Keyboard input: No. This information reflects things as they are today. We are working quickly to support all features of these and any future Braille devices that support the HID, (Human Interface Device) protocol. Thanks Original message:Hi all,
What Braille displays work with SA? Does the Pac Mate Braille display work with SA?
Where does one go to choose a Braille display? I've looked through all the settings, but can't find any settings for Braille displays!
Thanks,
Russell
