Subject: [tabi] Gaines Street Detour
In preparation for the upcoming redesign of the Woodward and Gaines
Intersection, the Forest and Tall Timbers Routes are modified. Here is the
turn by turn of the detour:
Forest from C.K. Steele Plaza (Northbound): Travel west on Jefferson Street,
left on Varsity Drive, straight through to Lake Bradford Road (this
intersection is now open to through traffic), resume route.
Forest to C.K. Steele Plaza (Southbound): Travel north on Lake Bradford
Road, straight through to Varsity Drive (this intersection is now open to
through traffic), right on St. Augustine Street, left on Copeland Street,
resume route.
Tall Timbers Eastbound: East on Stadium Drive, turn left onto Varsity Drive,
right on St. Augustine Street, right on Woodward Avenue, left on Madison
Street, right on Gay Street, left on Gaines Street, resume route.
Tall Timbers Westbound: West on Gaines Street, right on Macomb Street, left
on Madison Street, right on Woodward Avenue, left on Pensacola Street, left
on Varsity Drive, continue to Stadium Drive, resume route.
Work should be completed before the Fall 2014 Semester starts. We will keep
you informed.
