Phil, Studio Recorder does not use any Windows sounds. Try hitting Ctrl+G to enter the Audio Cue Group Dialog, and be sure something besides <none> is selected. If I have studio recorder perform a task such as changing pitch, or normalize, it no longer chimes to notify me that the task is finished. Is there a way to enable this feature? Does studio recorder use a windows sound that isn't available under windows 7, but is under xp? Thanks. Phil
