Yeah, that might have been back when nobody wanted to do anything.
Sean got refreshed. He's met more elves out there then he's met anywhere else
on the island.
Being a chaotic ranger, he doesn't have a hierarchy that might want him to,
say, patrol a particular region. That said, he is sworn to Glanna, but she
seems willing to let him do his thing, provided he's ready to come when she
needs him. Did play in a campaign where most rangers worked for a Queen, and
had assigned cantons to patrol. I was working toward a bard in that one, so it
wasn't my character's problem.
Now Sean is further refreshed, having rescued the captives. He seems to thrive
on such deeds.

I was referencing an earlier comment either Sean or you made about it no
longer being a party.
Carandolana's plans were, until a recent point in time, uncertain because she
serves a religious order that moves people around as they need them. Now she's
a lot more sure where she's going to end up, and it'll be a grove with standing
stones. But where it is in relation to the rest of the party is still in
question. She'll come to the group's aid if she can though.

Not sure what you are on about Sean thinking the party is no longer a party.
He may no longer feel he belongs, and he thinks that everyone has their own
thing to do. Maybe that? We are all doing our own thing. We always have.
We've always had our own goals. Carandolana, for example, never saw herself as
being invested in a holding. Ahearn wants a ranch. No real idea what Holly
wants, or Xander, of John Mac. Elmore's desires have been fairly overt.
Sean's have been pretty well known as well. But he has always wanted to help
the party as needed. He has tried to aid in the taming of the Cove. He looks
forward to assisting Speaker Greenmantle in his quest. He hopes to help
Carandolana with hers. He doubts he has much to offer Holly, Xander or even
his brother Ahearn, but will aid them how he can of desired. Similarly, Sean
will help John Mac as he desires, but I do not know if John Mac wants his own
holding, or wants to be a major player in Hagar's. All party's are transient,
but Sean will eagerly aid anyone of his friends who want it.
I don't know about how Steve reckons things, but I generally use the marching
rate of an army as my median for movement. 3 miles an hour, 20 miles a day
Give or take. Adjustments made if warranted.

The party that Sean considers to no longer be a party needs Carandolana to race
ahead and let the folks in the caves know there's wounded coming and to prepare
for them.
It's two hours walk, right? Using a normal human walking speed in fair health
that's ten miles. As a pigeon Carandolana can make that in twelve minutes.
That'll give the folks in the cave an hour and 48 minutes to prepare. If she
goes as a blue tailed hawk, which might be safer for entrance into the back
porch, I don't know the airspeed but I'm betting it's a lot faster. So it's not
about her choice, it's about what's needed.

Ok, Hagar, Rarmuck, Johnny Mac and (anyone else?) staying overnight at Joseph's
rest?
Everyone else is trudging back to Dugal's Cove?
