The party that Sean considers to no longer be a party needs Carandolana to race
ahead and let the folks in the caves know there's wounded coming and to prepare
for them.
It's two hours walk, right? Using a normal human walking speed in fair health
that's ten miles. As a pigeon Carandolana can make that in twelve minutes.
That'll give the folks in the cave an hour and 48 minutes to prepare. If she
goes as a blue tailed hawk, which might be safer for entrance into the back
porch, I don't know the airspeed but I'm betting it's a lot faster. So it's not
about her choice, it's about what's needed.
