It is Kelbis's sword. I don't think it would be right to take the sword
without taking Kelbis. And I think Kelbis should stay at the Cove. We can
dish out more than our fair share of damage without the sword. And dragons are
big enough where the meleers can melee, while us archers can fill the lizard
with lots of pointy sticks.

Not sure about the dragon slayer sword. Should it go, it will be useful since
I hope to engage the beast with melee - though I do not use the weapon, not
sure about others in its use but might be a choice.
We may need some to go so far to help clear the path then turn back or hold the

Good to see spell choices. I shall think of a best path but I'd hope to drop
in on our dragon unannounced.

Sicarius, of course, goes where Lord Hagar tells him (though he'd prefer to
keep working the font)
Sean still wants to capture/subdue Ezanus if the opportunity presents itself.
He will give Estra and Agatha four blunted arrows each when the final push to
the lair begins. He'll say to Ahearn "If we capture that wee bastard, we'll
need boatloads of coin to make his bed over in your cavern."
Three of the Greenmantle Guard are farmers (one of them is also a jeweler)
They would do well for the group to either go with Ahearn's man Theo and
prepare ground near him for cultivation, or do the same at the Cove, between
Middlecreek and South Creek, west north west of the "Back Porch"
I suspect that several of the gnomes are assisting the dwarves with the
tunneling. There are two masons and an engineer in that distinguished company.
I suspect a few others are assisting Hackett's men in building the warehouse
and maintaining the stone pier. Ethan of the Greenmantle Guard is a hunter,
and Nesgrous is a forager, so even without the chaos squad around, they should
be able to augment the food supplies, if necessary, and the gnomes have two
butchers to supply the two cooks with prime cuts of whatever gets harvested by
the hunters.
The Cove should be OK unless hit by Dragons, Martians or Fallschirmjaeger. We
are going to deal with the first, and have no idea what to do about the other
two, so it probably doesn't matter.

Sean votes Ezanus. I think Ahearn and Hagar do as well.
Carandolana abstains, apparently.
Elmore has remained relatively silent on the matter of our next action as a

Estra (with no vote) will follw Ahearn, while Agatha (with no vote) seems to be
following Sean.

What she would call chaos and a lack of reason, others might call a different
order of valuation and a differently reasoned perspective.
In fact, some might claim that having a monopoly on the definition of 'reason'
is inherently unreasonable.

Good. Having a live hostile dragon as a 'pet' as someone's plan is more than
enough monsters to tear through the caverns to some people's thinking. Elmore
has not entirely nixed that plan, but he certainly doesn't like it. Thinks it
hubris when a mortal thinks they can ever truly tame a dragon. He didn't much
like anyone digging into the ground to try for inscriptions leaving loose dirt
revealing some digging has occurred. He trusts his god enough, that he doesn't
have to know the exact what or why something is buried.

Trouble is, it wasn't in our back yard 1000 years ago. Even the pirates
probably didn't know this thing was here. That someone dug so far down and
encased it as thickly as they did, should be information enough. Gold and
treasures don't register as woeful, and it is doubtful someone would have
buried something truly harmful and let them keep all their loot.

Pomeroy, if asked, will support that the augury should be followed. The gods do
not like to be second guessed and real woe can result digging down will
effectively be opening it. A drunken gnome, dwarf or man at arms will
definitely open it if it is uncovered. Just offering a thoughtful approach.
Pomeroy will address himself directly to Ahearn.

All that said, as Sean sees it, we have several next steps possible.

sounds like an interesting twist. Sean is in favor, as is, I believe, Ahearn.
Others are willing to go along, but Sean does not know if it is something
desired on their part, or merely going along to get along.
- Elmore's Mindola Isles quest. Sean is interested in aiding his
friend Elmore in accomplishing that quest, because it is for the Greater Glory
of Artor. Sean is uncertain who else is interested.
- Carandolana's 'quest' to find a location to erect a stone circle.
Sean knows no details, but will wholeheartedly do whatever he can to aid
Carandolana in this mission. Again, he has no idea what anyone else thinks
regarding it.
In addition to them, John Mac has expressed a notion of establishing
his own canton. Of course, Sean will aid in that, but that is less a concrete
mission and more a goal. And, frankly, Sean thinks we should get the Cove up
and running first, and emulate what was successful when then establishing John
Mac's. Holly and Xander have been fairly quiet about what they want, but it
seems to me their are more modest goals, similar to Sean's of establishing a
'ranger school', and Ahearn's of establishing a thriving ranch. Sean thinks
Holly has running a guild in the Cove, as a lieutenant of Mawby, as her next
big goal, while Sean thinks Xander wants a workshop/tower/lab to explore what
suits his fancy. He already has an apprentice, and Sean secretly hopes he
settles in a stronghold in the Cove and also, among his arcane interests, sets
out to get a shipbuilding concern going. Something he can start and turn over
to hirelings, while retaining control. But, Sean thinks too much, sometimes.
