I have family on multiple branches of my family tree going back to at least
the Civil War. One more or less got dragooned into the Civil War. Right and
justice are a point of view when the Yanks have generals burning peoples homes
and crops. Then it’s a matter of defending the home front. There’s a Southern
song about Pea Bread. It’s hard on the outside and mushy on the inside but
better than nothing after the Yanks burned the food crops. Family went to
Vicksburg on tour back in the late 80’s. Self guided tour by cassette tape in
the car’s cassette tour going around a memorial park.
