Think the one that got dragooned ended up a cavalry sergeant. Think my dad has
a copy of his discharge papers somewhere. Unsure who if anyone else in my
family fought civil war. Do have family among Stephen F Austin’s original 600
families to Texas. Separate part of U.S. history but I think my dad’s family
has been here longer than my mom’s. Trouble is, most of them were either broke
or got swindled when they did make any money.

My first cousins’ great grandfather was in the 2nd Wis. he got promoted to 1st
Sergeant after the battle. My ancestors served as privates. Actually one
great-great uncle was promoted to the lofty position of like 6th corporal at
the end of the war.

Agatha and Sean and Cara if she cares to look are befuddled. They can find no
tracks that would align to the clubs. Some deer and kangapig. That is about it
beside smaller animals.

Let's go investigate the giant clubs. Sean and Agatha will look for tracks
