[steem] snapshots

Hi team

Here's a funny thing.

Snapshots are one of the things that make Steem really steam. Not
surprisingly however, the poor thing gets a bit confused if you add files to
a floppy that is in one of the drives, after saving the snapshot. (The ST
keeps an internal list of the contents of the floppies in its drives)

But strange things may also happen to a floppy in the home folder that was
*not* in one of the drives when the snapshot was taken: if, after reloading
the snapshot, the disk manager puts it e.g. into the A drive, files that
were on the floppy before the snapshot was taken will load normally. But
files that were added after the snapshot load only the first 4K. They do
load normally on the second time of asking.

Does this make sense?

Stephen
