My problem with all those Detroit style stories ( insert CLE or Cinci) is that
players often signed a 2nd and 3rd contract to stay with the team.
I think those days are gone. Players can play up the loyalty card when the
re-sign, but as we all know it is a business.
We see more and more guys leaving to go after those later career SB's and I
can't blame them.

I left Western PA to come to law school in Detroit in ‘82 and never left the
State and my wife is a Michigan girl.
It’s insane how many Lions fans are treating Stafford’s appearance in the SB as
an appearance by the Lions by proxy.
It’s unreal that one of the greatest RBs of all time (Barry) and a generational
WR (CalJo) chose to retire than play for this misfit franchise and the best QB
in their history forced a trade to a contender.
At this rate the Browns will make multiple appearances in the SB long before
the Lions. 😂

Gotta admit, I’m rooting for the Bengals in this one. It’s mainly jealousy, but
I’m really starting to love Joe Burrow. The swagger and the ability to back it

Roethlisberger in him and hope he doesn’t at some point engage in
self-destructive behaviors due to arrogance, but it’s just fun to watch and
listen to him and I HATE that the Steelers will be playing him 2x per year for
the next decade or so.

Had to live in Detroit AND married a MI girl? Jeez, that's like getting
punished for the same thing twice...
(Sorry, nothing personal, couldn't resist... Go Buckeyes... I'm pulling for
Stafford, too...)

I spent a fair chunk of my life in Detroit, and I married a woman from

ever get to a super bowl. Plus, wouldn’t it be awesome for OBJ to win the MVP
after the Browns cut him for being washed?
As JuJu would say, the Browns is the Browns.

I am rooting for the Ram. I've always liked Matt Stafford. He's a good Texas
boy (he got here as soon as he could, and we still claim him) and got the
rawest of deals by being drafted by Detroit.
We first saw him play against Texarkana in the state playoffs in high school
and he really lived up to the hoopla. There were so many awesome games that
year in the playoffs. I think he has one of the best arms to ever play the
game, and he definitely throws one of the prettiest balls. So I hope the Rams
win.

In a similar vein, this season the Bengals won more playoff games than the
Motor City Kitties have in the last 64 seasons!
Bengals are a good story but I’m rooting for the Rams and will wear my Aaron
Donald Pitt jersey to the SB party I’m attending.
