Job responsibilities:
• Writing and creating graphical illustrations for: mechanical
installation manuals, quick start guides, component-level
instructions,
warehouse guides, and regulatory supplements.
• Creating and modifying 3D CAD models and animations.
• Working closely with diverse teams of subject-matter experts to
research and develop clear, concise content while satisfying multiple
stakeholders and regulatory requirements.
• Working with existing Tech Pubs team to research new tools and
methodologies, develop standardized templates and collaborative
authoring workflows, improve existing document management and
quality control processes, and improve content delivery
infrastructures.
Core Tools (Desired)
• Adobe Creative Cloud: Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop
• Microsoft Office Suite 2013
• SolidWorks and SolidWorks Composer (training provided)
• Atlassian Confluence
Job requirements:
• Graphic design and page layout experience
• Strong visual communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management and ability to adhere to project deadlines
• Ability to deliver high-quality work with speed and efficiency
• Ability to shift gears quickly as project priorities change
• 0-3 years’ work experience
• Excellent customer service skills required
• Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance required
• Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal screen.
Additional pre-employment driving and drug screens may be required
based on job responsibilities
Preferred
Consider yourself well-qualified if you have experience with ONE OR
MORE of the following
• 3D CAD modeling software
• Producing instructional videos or animations
• Producing advanced technical illustration
• Implementing tools and processes for collaborative team workflow and
project coordination
• Writing for regulatory audiences or writing to codes and standards
• Writing for international audiences
• Background in mechanical engineering, construction, electrical work,
solar systems design
