*Call for paper*

    The conference is intended to gather researchers and planning
consultants who will share the latest results of research and successful
case studies in spatial planning and sustainable development. The field
ranges from urban policy, planning and design, planning support system to
the field of transportation planning, landscape design and geography.

*Topics*

  SPSD 2011 is organized by Landscape East Asian, CPIJ,  the Japan-China
Joint Seminar on City and ITS, JSCE, Institute of Geographic Sciences and
Natural Resources Research, CAS and Commission on Geospatial Analysis and
Modeling, ICA. The conference aims to gather researchers and planning
consultants who will share the latest results of research and successful
case studies in spatial planning and sustainable development. The topics of
interest include, but not limited to:

         Sustainable development and land use
         Low carbon city and transportation
         Environment policy and landscape design
         Policy modeling and geospatial technology
         Spatial policy and planning support

*Important Dates*

         Deadline for abstract (about 800 words):September 15, 2010
         Notification of Acceptance:October 15, 2010
         Deadline for full paper:March 15, 2011
         Early registration will be available in early April,2011

*Author Guidelines*
SPSD 2011 paper submission and review process is conducted in the following
manner:
SPSD 2011 requires authors to submit the title, list of authors, a brief
abstract (about 800 words), and a list of 3-6 keywords for each paper before
the abstracts submission deadline. Authors can update the above information
when submitting the full-length paper.
The length of each paper should not be longer than 18 pages following the
format given in the paper template.
Submission of the paper abstract and the full-length paper must be done
electronically.
Paper submissions will be reviewed by experts in their respective research
fields selected by the conference committee.

   SPSD 2011 Proceeding will be issued in 29-31July, 2011.  Selected papers
will be published in a book after conference.
