Stupid is commenting on history when you don't know shit about history.
Add to stupid crazy, unstable, immature, naive, inexperienced, dumb and
personality disorders and you have the spectacle that is taking place today
in American politics.
You never hear the same level of stupidity in conversations about sports
that you do in politics because sports conversations require a minimal level
of understanding. In conversations about politics people can be cocksure of
themselves without having any knowledge whatsoever of what they are talking
about.
A good example is the belief that the US Civil War was fought to free the
slaves. Now those on the left want to remove all the statues and monuments
of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson because they were slave owners.
I have a sense that the people who say and do these things represent a very
minuscule percentage of the population but it's all they talk about in the
mainstream media news.
During the rally yesterday in Phoenix Trump spent a lot of time talking
about the "fake news" US mainstream media like CNN and the NY Times. One
thing you can say about him is that he is the first American politician to
dare to call the mainstream media what it is. That alone is a good enough
reason to justify having voted for him
