In the rematch, there were four early ties but LEX pushed the lead to
double digits before the first quarter ended and led 30-19 after 12
minutes. One time in the second quarter, lake K got the lead to eight, but
the rest of the time it was a double digit lead. LEX went on a 12-0 run to
push the eight point lead to 20, their largest in the game. At the half,
Lake K cut it back to an 11 point deficit at 64-53, significantly less
points for LEX than last game at the half (88).
Late in the third quarter, Lake K scored seven in a row to cut the lead all
the way down to two at 79-77 but LEX got seven in a row soon after and led
91-83 heading to the 4th. LeVert missed 1 of 2 FT's that could have tied
the game at 99-98. Lake K never trailed by double digits the entire fourth
quarter but also never tied the game or took the lead. LEX hangs on to win
123-115.
Giannis approached a triple double with 21 points, 11 rebounds, and 7
assists leading his team in points and rebounds. Dinwiddie added 20 points
and Simmons had a game high 14 assists though only 8 points. Six LEX
players scored in double figures. Lake K was led by Harrell's game high 30
points and he also grabbed 11 rebounds. Gobert paired 12 points with a
game high 12 rebounds. Smart fouled out early in the 3rd quarter.
