The first quarter and close and back and forth with lead changes. Lake K
held a 33-31 lead after 12 minutes. MAD led for most of the second quarter
but there were six ties and the biggest lead was only six. At the half,
MAD was up 66-63.
9 of the first 13 fouls called on Lake K went to their power forwards (4 on
Harrell and 5 on Bitadze) by late in the third quarter. Lake K led for
most of the third quarter but a late 10-0 run by MAD put them up 96-90 and
they held a 96-92 lead heading to the 4th. Three times in the 4th quarter,
MADE pushed the lead to as high as 9. Lake K cut it to 121-119 with 39
seconds left when Harrell made 1 of 2 FT's. MAD held the ball and missed a
shot with the shot clock running down but a loose ball foul went against
Lake K and Muscala made two FT's with 21 seconds left. Harrell got fouled
with 14 seconds left and made both FT's. Lake K intentionally fouled
Murray who made the first but missed the second with seven seconds left.
Lake K had time for one last shot and it went to Maker who pulled up for
three but missed on a blank 7 (needed 2-5). MAD hangs on to win 124-121.
Fox went for game highs in points (36) and assists (10). Capela had a
double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Jackson also scored 18.
Ingles led Lake K with 29 points including 8 for 8 on FB shots (with none
of them from dazzlers). Harrell added 28 points while Gobert also had a
double-double with 15 and 10.
