I’d mentioned that I would like to host our July outing. I was looking at
the Warner Springs Resort Golf Course but after having talked to the course
manager there (“Mark”), it sounds like they still don’t have the course in
that good of shape. He indicated the issue is more of manpower than anything
else (five groundskeepers for the entire course which still needs some
reconstruction, not just maintenance).
Not a problem – this being July and it will be toasty, so what better place
to enjoy a morning outing followed by a few pitchers of cold, refreshing beer
than the cool environs of Mount Woodson? I recall that last year we played
there in either July or August and had a great turnout that resulted in a
fantastic day.
