Hi Vanessa, I liked old school “What’s Happening to Me” by Mayle. I
surprisingly didn’t like “It’s Perfectly Normal” which gets rave reviews. It
was muchhhhhhh too lengthy, too graphic novel-like for my son and I. You’re
welcome to have it if you’re ever near the south Pasadena area. - Liz (jake -

HI moms!
I'm wondering if anyone has any book or website suggestions for dealing with
boys heading into puberty. My boys are 10 now and I thought I might have
another year or two, but Franklin is starting to show signs (mood changes,
voice cracking). I've explained the biology/hormones part of it to him but
finding good written materials / explanations to prepare us both for the
coming changes would be great.
Thanks!!

For those of you with kids or have little ones in your life that you care
about, I wanted to share the recording of a chat hosted by Scary Mommy:
Covid Summer: How to Deal When You’ve Got the Shot But Your Kids Do Not
which I found helpful.
Looking forward to connecting with you on Saturday!
