Dave you need to turn off the different things you want to have sinked up to
your account.
Settings and then account. Then Gmail and turn off the items you don’t want
sinked.
I have all of them turned off. I don’t want that stuff on the cloud.

Thanks Sam. It works fine now!
One other question I have is: After I set up my account on the Google Play
Store and log into it with my SmartVision II, I notice that every time an
E-mail comes to the E-mail address with which my account is associated, my
SmartVision II gives me a sound notification, even though I haven't yet used
the E-mail or Gmail app on it. How can I shut that sound notification off?

Yesterday afternoon I updated the preinstalled apps on my SmartVision II, using
the Google Play Store. I also downloaded the map for Canada re the Kapten GPS
app, and Kapten seems to be working fine.
The problem I'm now having is that when I try to unlock the screen, I get no
speech. I can wait several minutes and try again a couple of times.
Eventually I do get speech, but it consistently takes too long.
I've moved the Canada maps to an SD card, and I've alerted Kapten to this. I
thought that because initially the map was in SmartVision's internal memory,
that that might be why I wasn't getting speech when unlocking the phone, but
that is not the case. I'm still having the problem.
What should I do?
