I don't understand the reason for this discussion.
The current method of installation allows us to choose between logging
into a console or a graphical environment, so it's probably not too
much of a problem.
Nowadays, the size of hard drives is also not a problem, because you
can buy quite large ones for little money.
Personally, I don't like the idea of automatically logging into the
desktop environment in the future.
Surely this may be convenient for sighted users of Slint, but for
them, making decisions during installation in favor of the graphical
interface is probably not a problem at all.
I guess we are looking for a problem where there is none.

yes, the graphic part takes some place but nowadays, it's not so
important. Disks are very big.

We have many members of this SKINT community who love SLINT because of

If that could be made part of the regular SLINT installer it might

We have many users who are blind and have no patience with the graphical
user interface, calling it "PIN THE MOUSE ON THE DONKEY" after the
children's game of blindfolding a child and spinning them around and
giving
them a paper "tail" to pin on a picture of a tail less donkey that is
hanging on the wall, usually with hilarious results.
A text only version of SLINT would also mean that any old discarded
computer could be used to run SLINT as the requirements for text system
are
extremely low.
