please attach the file /etc/slapt-get/slapt-getrc to your next message. This
will allow is to check what packages are excluded and if need be fix the list of
excluded packages. Meanwhile am trying to follow the instructions see if I
come across the same issue.

Heya there: When you say that you're editing a file in Nano, and it's
slow, are you using the console, or are you using a gui terminal like
Mate Terminal. You'll find that you have better luck using the console
when it comes to text related stuff.
Let us know if you need more clarafication.
