So far I think it should be a missing kernel > module or, pheraps, some support added in later kernels. Later kernels, namely 2.6.15.x, support my controller, but i have some problems compiling them. I don't have a ppc machine with linux on it and cross compiling on my intel machines doesn't work (gcc too new or binutils too old). Can someone please compile a new kernel for me? I already have a minimal configuration (http://gufo.dontexist.org/files/config.gz) for 2.6.15.4 but i can't test it. If someone will be so kind to compile a kernel for me i'll be able to create a new iso and see if the system installs from there. FWIW ubuntu-unstable stuck at boot time after probing and recognising usb devices...maybe booting from a live system and installing in a chrooted environment as Marco suggested me is a good way of proceding, but i can't find a linux system able to boot at the moment :-( Suggestions are wellcome!
