"SpaceX test fired its latest Starship rocket prototype this morning (March
26) and may attempt to launch the stainless steel booster later today from the
company's South Texas facility. The Starship SN11 vehicle fired up its Raptor
engines just after 9 a.m. EDT (1300 GMT) ahead of what is expected to be a
6.2-mile (10 kilometers) launch later in the day. SpaceX has not stated it
actually will attempt an SN11 launch, but its test window opens at 8 a.m. EDT
(7 a.m. local time, 1200 GMT) and runs for over 12 hours, according to
officials in Cameron County, which is home to SpaceX's Starship test site near
Boca Chica Village."

NASA is targeting no earlier than April 8 for the Ingenuity Mars Helicopter
to make the first attempt at powered, controlled flight of an aircraft on
another planet. Before the 4-pound (1.8-kilogram) rotorcraft can attempt its
first flight, however, both it and its team must meet a series of daunting
milestones.
Ingenuity remains attached to the belly of NASA’s Perseverance rover, which
touched down on Mars Feb. 18. On March 21, the rover deployed the guitar
case-shaped graphite composite debris shield that protected Ingenuity during
landing. The rover currently is in transit to the “airfield” where Ingenuity
will attempt to fly. Once deployed, Ingenuity will have 30 Martian days, or
sols, (31 Earth days) to conduct its test flight campaign.
* The ‘USS Jellyfish’ emits strange radio waves from a distant galaxy cluster
The unusual pattern of radio waves dubbed the USS Jellyfish tells a story of
intergalactic gas meeting black hole by-products.
* The dark matter mystery deepens with the demise of a reported detection
Early results from an experiment designed to replicate one that hinted that
dark matter is made up of WIMPs came up empty-handed.

* President Moon Jae-in of South Korea has vowed to launch the nation’s first
robotic lunar lander on a domestically developed rocket by 2030.
* Small launch vehicle company Launcher has moved across the country to
California as it takes its next steps in the development of its rocket.
Launcher, which had been based in New York City, is in the process of moving
into a 24,000-square-foot building it is leasing in Hawthorne, California, a
few blocks from the sprawling headquarters of SpaceX. That building will be the
company’s home for the development of its vehicle.
* Arianespace successfully launched another 36 satellites for low Earth orbit
broadband operator OneWeb March 25, bringing its total in-orbit constellation
to 146 satellites. OneWeb has made contact with each satellite after they
separated from a Soyuz-2.1b rocket that blasted off 10:47 p.m. Eastern from
Vostochny Cosmodrome, Russia’s newest launch base.
