got what he wanted on Take 12. The song wouldn't be issued until 1973.

Ed O'Brien:
The last of Frank's 191 Hit Parade appearances. He first appearance was
with Dorsey in 1940 and he had two extended runs in 43-44 and again from
47 to 49.His swan song was a return after a four and half month
hiatus. He brought along Light-Up co-star Dorothy Kirsten. "Mad Men"
might have lost Lucky Strike but Frank kept them after your YHP.They
would sponsor his Light-Up show that ran from Sept. 49 into early
June of 50.

Note: Richmond was all set to have their first annual tobacco festival on 10-15-49. The
American Tobacco Co (lucky Strike) decided to spare no expense to celebrate the
occasion. They sent Frank, Dorothy Kirsten and Mark Warnow down there for the
weekend. The two stars of Light Up Time and the arranger/conductor of YHP arrived
to a whirlwind of personal appearances at department stores, parades,
and a visit to a cigarette factory. Warnow had brought along the
NBC radio orchestra to back the two singers. Friday night they performed at the Presentation
Show in front of 1,000 people. Someone decided to charge $1.35 admission fee. Saturday, Frank
and Dorothy skipped the parade through the city because of inclement weather. They did make
an appearance at City Stadium for the football game between Virginia Military Institute and Uni-
versity of Richmond, where Frank crowned Dorothy Queen of the Tobacco Bowl Festival. The
rehearsal and broadcast of the Hit Parade was held at the 4,200 seat Cavalier Arena. Frank
and Dorothy then appeared at the Tantilia Garden for the Tobacco Ball Bowl and at the Fair
Grounds for the Tobacco Festival Square Dance. The attendance at all the Saturday events
very much exceeded expectations with the stadium appearance drawing more than 20,000
Prior to the events on Saturday, Frank and Dorothy played host to 20 underprivileged boys
and girls at a brunch. The press simply loved them for their singing and the goodwill they
brought with them to Richmond.
Unfortunately there is a sad ending to this story. Mark Warnow, who had been the conductor
of the Hit Parade orchestra during Frank's tenure in 1943-44 and was a much admired arranger,
upon arriving back in New York, on the morning of the 17th, suffered a fatal attack. He was only
49 years old.

David Lazarus responded:
I'm a Montrealer and I attended the Montreal concert in 1976 and it was
at The Forum, which has since been torn down and turned into a cineplex.
I was 22 but already a huge Sinatra fan and I remember him bounding onto
the stage and performing exquisitely. Alas, the actual song titles
escape me now since the vast majority were from his "concert core"
repertoire, but they included one or two of his lamer efforts from the
1970s (the songs, not him).

Ed O'Brien then responded:
Sinatra closed at the Premier Theatre on 10-2-76
and then started a 12 city tour on 10-7. He played
Pittsburgh, Buffalo, New Haven, Montreal, Norfolk
and so on.
He had a set program for the tour with
only one alternate.

This concert was originally scheduled for October 6, 1988 but was canceled along with the October 7, 1988 show:
WORCESTER- The Voice didn't sing last night.
Frank Sinatra was ill with the flu, and little more than three hours before he was scheduled to appear at the Centrum with Sammy Davis Jr. and Liza Minnelli, the concert was postponed. So was tonight's show. The concerts are now scheduled for October 15 and either October 16 or 17, Centrum officials said
--The Boston Globe, October 7, 1988

Note: Apparently a company called Video Visuals provided a 4-camera, 4-projector I-Mag for this show at the Centrum. Professional clips of the show have circulated on YouTube.
