Hi Scott,                At the end of the war, the America soldiers were asked 
what entertainer was most important to themBob Hope was expected to win for all 
his USO Tours. But Crosby was the one they preferred. They cited 
"WhiteChristmas" and "I'll Be Home For Christmas." Bing also did tours and was 
once in great danger. Driver assignedto Bing took a wrong turn and wound up in 
a town occupied by the Germans. Der Bingle realized what had happened and 
calmly instructed the driver to turn around and get them out of there. Sinatra 
idolized the man.Ed
