I just tried it out and it worked ok for me?
1. Start Simplemail
2. Change configuration "folder directory"
3. Save config
4. Exit simplemail
5. Start simplemail
only the new default folders are created and shown.
Maybe you have copied your old folder dir to the new location?
When you have done this, there is a ".order" file in the folder dir
where all folders and their locations are stored. You would have to
edit the file and change the locations by hand.
