You might want to notate the notes of the chord, give the name of
the chord in text form, and also give the position on the fret
board. Usually this is given as a Roman numeral. For example, I
would mean first position, meaning the guitarist's index finger is
at the first fret. VII would mean seventh position, index finger
at the seventh fret.
