How do you determine fingerings and string notation? Can Sibelius Access
read those?

only if those instruments cover the same range of pitches. Are you
just writing notes, or are you wanting to include fingering or string
notation as well? Without knowing more about the actual instrument,
it's probably best to just notate the pitches and let the player
figure out appropriate fingerings, as long as the pitches you include
are physically playable on the instrument.

For the quatro, I'd go with the vihuela notation. See if you have any
reference in Sibelius for the vihuela. Else, go with the guitar notation.
Its tuning goes from A4 4th string, d5 3rd string, f-sharp5 2nd string, and
b4 first string. this is like the four middle strings of the vihuela.
Sometimes guitarists tune the g string to f-sharp to play some renaissance
and baroque music. Note that the b string in the quatro is tuned an octave
lower. YUou can also write the quatro an octave lower than the tuning
provided above.
As to the buzuki, there are towo kinds. one with 3 courses, and one with 4
courses. Note that the courses are double strings like the vihuela and the
lute. The one with 3 courses is tuned d4, a4 and d5. the double strings of
d4 are tuned an octave apart with the lower string on top the higher. The
other double strings are tuned in unison.
The four course buzuki is tuned like the top four strings of the guitar but
a whole note lower. So it goes c3, f3, A3 and d4. Note that the double
strings of the lower 2 courses are tuned an octave apart, while the double
strings of the top 2 strings are tuned in unison..
so I suggest to notate the buzuki as the guitar. You can indicate in the
title as an anotation the change of the tuning to match the buzuki or the
quatro.

So you say it's either a quatro or a bouzouki? I wonder how I would
athe bouzouki. Is it like notating the quatro? Would it be like notating
ofguitar? I'm a bit confused on that one! Since I could be wrong, but I
believe that the quatro, or cuatro as it's shown in Sibelius is a type
theguitar.

that's the sound of the quatro, but I believe this one is the buzuki
indeed
because of the music style being modern Greek.

I've heard buzuki before, but to me this instrument here sounds like
akind of guitar used in Gipsy music with oval-shaped holes. The Spanish
flamenco Paco de Lucia plays an instrument with a sound just like that.
