Kevin, I've noticed something similar myself a few times. I think the problem lies in the way that the plug-in is initialised. It should import the verbosity settings from the last session but it doesn't seem to be working as intended. I'll take a look at it and report back. My modified set was in play as I hoped. After that check, I tabbed to the note that began the hairpin and then arrowed left and right, I think. I and it behaved as your docs said it would, mentioning the crescendo before the note value. Weird.
