Dale,

JAWS has to detect the state of the major and minor radio buttons in order
to speak the major or minor keys. It sounds like this is failing on your
system for some reason. I've just had a look at the method I'm using for
this and it could be better. I'll try a different method and see if it makes
a difference. I may need to send you some code for testing.

Kevin,

When I tab around the key signatures dialogue, what should be C major speaks
as A minor, even though the major keys radio button is checked.

Dale,
Does C Major give you A Minor?

That's interesting, because I've learned that a key signature can apply to
both a major and a minor key. For example, 0 sharps or flats can be either
C-Major or A-Minor. However, that must be confusing for you, that the Major
Keys dialog is triggering the Minor Keys to be spoken. It's never happened
that way for me. Perhaps a reinstallation of Sibelius might fix your
dilemma?

Hello Everyone,

When setting up a score, even though I've made sure that the major keys
radio button is checked, arrowing in both the sharp keys and flat keys boxes
results in minor keys being spoken. According to the way accidentals are
defaulting, Sibelius is treating the keys as major. Only the dialogue speech
seems inconsistent with the key. Any ideas as to what might be happening?
