I have no idea. Lime isn't Sibelius. Have you contacted Dancing Dots with
that question?

So I wonder why Lime gets confused?

Sibelius has no problems with changing meter mid-stream. It recognizes the
new time signature and reacts accordingly.

The reason I ask about the meter changes is because, when I notate it in
Lime, I start off in the compound meter (3/4 or 6/8), then when I switch to
4/4, the beats become thrown off? Is there a way to prevent that from
happening in Sibelius? Or does it not happen that way in Sibelius?

Yes,

You can insert time signatures at any point in the score.

The tempo can be changed to any new tempo at any bar. To accelerate or
decelerate you can use appropriate lines for that.

I'll let someone else handle the instrument question.

Subject: [sib-access] Questions About Notation

Hi there.
I'm currently notating the Beatles tune, "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds",
and I have a few questions.
1. The song has two distinct meters, one that I believe is either 3/4 or 6/8
time for the verses and the bridges, and one that is 4/4 time for the
choruses. Can Sibelius switch between those two without getting confused?
2. The song has a few tempo changes. It starts off at 120BPM for the verses,
then slowly speeds up to 125BPM for the bridges. Then when the meter changes
to 4/4, it immediately slows down to 90BPM for the choruses.
3. The song has a few instruments, which I'd like to find out how to compile
accurate notations for. There's a Lowrey organ that plays the countermelody,
a tamboura that plays a drone, a guitar, a guitar with a Leslie, a plucked
electric bass, a Hammond B3 Organ on the choruses, and drums. How do I
notate the drum lines? Would I notate them on one note? Please help!
