The most common reasons for this are: 1) Oversize messages where a thread has simply become too long. I'll look at increasing the size here, but it would help if posting like this could be trimmed a little. 2) Members who have subscribed from one e-mail address and send from another. 3) Those who post from a system which prevents Reverse DNS lookup. This is done to ensure the message comes from who it claims to be from, and not some spammer. 4) A very short message where the word "unsubscribe" (from the appended footer) is within the first few lines and for some reason it results in an "administrivia error". Sometimes I get an auto-generated message indicating that my message has been posted only to the moderator, because of something or other that looks to be an invalid command in the subject line or first line of the message body. And this happens when I'm literally replying to someone's message from the list. So often times I have to paste the text from my attempted post into a brand new message, the subject of which I usually try to define to the relevant discussion.
