Marée , I'm expecting that there will likely never be any scripts for Sibelius 7. So you might want to explore how you can get a copy of Sibelius 5.2.5 or 6, so that you have a reasonable chance to work with a newer operating system like Windows 7. Perhaps you can contact Tim on his web site to see if purchasing Sib 7 and downgrading to 5.2.5 is still a possibility. http://www.raisedbar.net/ Dave Carlson Tastefully composed and launched near the Pacific Ocean using a Dell Latitude E6520, JAWS 14, and Windows 7 Professional 32-bit ----- Original Message ----- From: "Maree Steinway" <maree.steinway@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <sib-access@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, February 04, 2013 02:48 Subject: [sib-access] Re: New Computer With Sib Access As A Priority? Hi Dave, Good to hear from you again. Guess I'll keep going with Sib Speak and Sib 3 and hope someone thinks up something before my old computer crashes and dies. Is there anywhere I should be directing interest for upgrades of scripts or anything? First the bad news -- Still only Sibelius 5.2.5 is accessible with Sib-Access scripts. This means that Windows 7 is known to work but I don't know if anyone has tested Sibelius 5.2.5 with Windows 8. So getting the latest, newest Operating System may not be in your best interest if Sibelius is what you want. Hi there, I wish to purchase a new computer with Sibelius Access as a priority consideration which means I am probably upgrading from Windows XP to Windows 8. I rather fancy the idea of a powerful but small and portable computer with the likely need of a remote keyboard and I'm wondering if any of you tech-savvy musicians who uses Sibelius Access can advise me about an ideal setup.
