Either your email client or the mailing list server is generating a plain text representation of the email, where the hyperlinks are converted to a form with numbered cross-references at the end of the message. If you compose your email in "plain text" format rather than HTML, you will be able to insert and format the links exactly as you want them to appear to readers.
