Alicia,

you are likely to have a function in the Laplace-domain with poles in
the right-half of the complex plane. You should eliminate them, in order
to make your system stable and causal.
NB: I supposed that the system you describe with the Laplace element is
LTI (linear and time-invariant) and passive.
