I'm interested in performing a freq domain characterization of an interconnect channel in a backplane system which includes differential tlines, differential (coupled) connectors, AC coupling caps, and maybe IC package parasitics. I would like to use a .LIN analysis for extracting mixed mode freq dependant noise (SDD21, SDD11) in the interconnect elements. My question is whether I simply cascade and encapsulate all the elements such as W-element tlines and via stubs, 3D RLGC connector matrices within a single .LIN mixedmode2port=dd analysis call. Would the noises simply sum? Any help would be appreciated.
