HI, I have a basic doubt regarding terminologies in ethernet. When we say 1 Gbps, does it mean 1000 Mbps or 1024 Mbps? I have an IXIA system that is pumping data at 1000 Mbps. My DUT claims to support upto 1 Gbps. Does this mean that i am not excercising my chip at full bandwidth. Btw, Sorry for the spam.
