Goutham, A quick calculation on my field solver shows that any of the following geometries will give you approximately 100 ohms differential impedance. I recommend confirming this with TDR measurement on the finished card, since one can expect large variations in impedance due to absence of a ground/power plane. 12 mil wide traces with 6 mils trace to trace separation 8 mil wide traces with 5 mils trace to trace separation Regards, Ravinder PCB Development and Design Department IBM Corporation Email: ajmani@xxxxxxxxxx *************************************************************************** Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest. .... There is no continuous plane. How to calculate differential trace impedance, can any one suggest? My requirement is 100ohm differential impedance and 63mil board height.
