You will = provide analysis of the protocols and the ramifications on electrical = requirements of the part. You will need to devise appropriate test = methodologies. In addition to protocol testing, applicable SSO and = decoupling testing will have to be executed for the HSIO (High Speed = I/O). You will create documentation and follow it through to the = company's technical publications group. From time to time, datasheets, = etc., will have to be created for the new silicon. You will train = various groups on the technical work you have accomplished. You will = also support customers implementing HSIO features in their systems. = Customer support through Lab Testing and HSPICE modeling will also be = required. A successful candidate MUST have a BSEE or equivalent with a minimum of = 5 years experience (7+ preferred), or MSEE/PhD with a minimum of 4 years = experience in high speed design and SI related areas, with the = qualifications as follows: - Good working knowledge of high speed I/O standards and transmission = line theory is required. - Lab experience in testing and characterization with tools such as = BERTs, TDR, sampling scopes and noise generators is required. - Working experience in modeling I/O using HSPICE or other SI tools is = required. - Working knowledge with SI tools such as HSPICE, IBIS, ANSOFT SI-2D/3D, = HFSS, ADS, Specctraquest, ICX and SIGRITY is required. - Good written and oral communication skills are a must. - Verilog experience a definite plus.
