Heyfitch. Here is a typical data sheet for a strait SMA to cable connector. This device type is very wide band and can work very well up into the high 20ghz range or higher with the right dielectric etc etc. I have never used them above 23 Ghz. http://www.carlisleit.com/v2/productFiles/OL_5720-1.pdf The S-parameters are not part of this data sheet but if your real interested talk to the MFG and see about getting them. For MIL-C-17 specs. VSWR: 1.15 + 0.01 f(ghz) Insertion loss: .06x sqrt f (ghz). Same equation as what Scott has posted. Google Mil-C-17, there is alot of info out there on this spec. If your trying to build a coaxial cable whats more critical is the type of cable that gets connected to the SMA connector and how its constructed. The coaxial cable itself is always the part that limits the useful frequency range in an SMA to coax to SMA connector.
