Hello Naveen,
While calculating your target impedance you have to use imax/2 which is
your transient current.
Zo=(vdd*0.03)/I(transient)
Where I (transient)=Imax/2
Thanks.

Hello Experts,
If you don't mind, I need a small help from you regarding Peak transient
current calculation.
When we are doing AC coupling analysis (decoupling analysis), as we know
that, Zotarget formulae =VDD (V)*ripple (%)/Peak transient Current(A). So,
here I did one calculation for the same with some assumptions as follow
below.
Example:
Inputs: VDD=1V, 3% ripple=.003,Imax , Peak transient current=?, since I
don't have peak transient current details, I am calculating theoretically
i.e., 0.5*Imax. I did some calculation as follow below. Then, for our case
Peak transient current would be 0.5*1A==0.5A.
The main concern is that, When we are applying/feeding inputs to the
simulation environment (EDA tools), whether we need to feed just 0.5A as
peak transient current or Imax+ peak transient current, i.e. 1A+0.5A=1.5A
as peak transient current? Can you please help me and give more technical
information's on this?
Thanks,
Naveenchandra V
