Steve Sandler (steve@xxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:steve@xxxxxxxxxxxx>) is really the
power integrity guru (his book referenced below). Heidi Barnes from Keysight,
as well.
Also, Eric Bogatin (eric@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:eric@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>), from
Teledyne-LeCroy, has some videos on power rail measurement. Their web site may
have references, as well. Other T&M companies (Keysight, Tektronix) also make
power rail probes. I have the Tektronix probe in the works to be reviewed
shortly.
Cheers, Ken

Subject: [SUSPECTED SPAM] [SI-LIST] Power Rail Measurement
Hi si-listers,
I am a newbie in power rail measurements.
Can you help me start with the documents to be read?
Formulating the test procedure, arriving at the test equipment, probes.
If you have any related document, please share with me.
I hope the only measurables are Ripple_ peak to peak, and overshoot,
undershoot from the transient.
How can we measure the impedance plot of PDN?
We might have to probe at the single pin which is different from the
simulations in which we are grouping the pins and plotting the impedance
curve.
Kindly share your insights
Regards,
Mina
