[SI-LIST] Interpolation adds power to the system?

Hi SI Listeners!
I'm interpolating a time-domain pulse response to get the required M points
per UI to calculate COM. When I do that, I check the FFT of the
interpolated impulse response just to see how it effectively
"extrapolated". I notice that the frequency domain data has been shifted up
20 dB!! I can also see this change in the COM result.

Has anyone else seen this effect and know a workaround?
