Hello, Jing, The IBIS Quality Checklist recommends that both clamp tables cover the full range of -Vcc to 2*Vcc (since different tools could extrapolate differently). Normally, the clamp current is 0A above 0V in both clamp tables. However, active clamping (on-die pullup/down "resistors") could have non-zero current in this range. Since SI simulators sum currents, it is important to make sure currents are never double-counted. The IBIS summing is: I_up = [Pullup] + [GND Clamp] + [PowerClamp] I_dn = [Pulldown] + [GND Clamp] + [PowerClamp] I_in = [GND Clamp] + [PowerClamp] Best regards, Lynne "IBIS training when you need it, where you need it." How about if both the GND clamp and Power Clamp curve have the data from - Vcc to 2Vcc, will the simulator double-count the data or different simulator have different solutions? =20 Thanks, jing ------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from si-list: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field or to administer your membership from a web page, go to: //www.freelists.org/webpage/si-list For help: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'help' in the Subject field List FAQ wiki page is located at: http://si-list.org/wiki/wiki.pl?Si-List_FAQ List technical documents are available at: http://www.si-list.org List archives are viewable at: //www.freelists.org/archives/si-list or at our remote archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/si-list/messages Old (prior to June 6, 2001) list archives are viewable at: http://www.qsl.net/wb6tpu ------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from si-list: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field or to administer your membership from a web page, go to: //www.freelists.org/webpage/si-list For help: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'help' in the Subject field List FAQ wiki page is located at: http://si-list.org/wiki/wiki.pl?Si-List_FAQ List technical documents are available at: http://www.si-list.org List archives are viewable at: //www.freelists.org/archives/si-list or at our remote archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/si-list/messages Old (prior to June 6, 2001) list archives are viewable at: http://www.qsl.net/wb6tpu
