Giovanni,

HSPICE simulation speed dependes upon the type of model your using. If you
use IBIS models and Tlines, HSPICE simulation takes no longer than any other
IBIS simulator. However, if you want (or need) to use transistor level
models, S-parameters, etc, Then HSPICE runs take more time, but you get the
accuracy and flexibility you need.

SiSoft's SiAuditor solution allows extraction from Allegro, Board Station,
PowerPCB, and Expedition PCB. The extracted simulation files contains lossy
and lossless transmission line models. You can find out more information by

You could use XNS (Innoveda): XNS can start from postlayout data and
generate an Hspice netlist too.
You'll find all the lines in a RLC format (not wlines or other...)
Isn't Hspice too slow for a complete postlayout analysis?

Subject: [SI-LIST] Hspice simulator for board designs

Hello,
We are exploring the possibilities if using Hspice simulator for motherboard
designs (for mailnly post layout). But Hspice does not have the option of
directly importing the routed board file.
Hence can anybody suggest any method for doing post layout simulation on a
routed board file using Hspice?

Looking forward for your reply!!!

Thanks,
Sidney
