That's maybe a little strong.  LVDS is admirably well-suited to
connecting chassis with poor-but-not-vanishing ground integrity.
That's a problem that isn't going away until optical interconnect
takes over.  I'm just not a fan of it for local interconnect where
ground integrity is good and the economics don't support using
external SLVS-to-LVDS translators.
