Chuck, True, but FER targets BER only & If I am passing that BER no. with all possible (Frames) paterns, doesn't it mean that I don't need to see FER. I guess FER is required when you are failing at BERT but still you canpass with FER Test. Am I right?? You can relate the two by the calculation you describe. Since all data is passed in frames, and errors are detected on frames, FER is the observable parameter, not BER.
