Hi,
I am looking at pierce crystal oscillator from CMOS inverter. I
am trying to understand the 360 degree phase shift during parallel
resonance.I know that 180 degree phase shift will be provided by
inverter. So, another 180 degree must come from crystal and load
capacitor circuit. I understand that the whole crystal will be
modelled as inductance in parallel resonance. So, we have one
inductor and two load capcitors at each arm. This can be modelled
as tank circuit and at resonance it should give 0 degree. I know,
I am missing something in my analysis. Please, tell me what I am
missing and how this circuit will give 180 degree phase shift??

Thanks in Advance/-
Pankaj
