Hi All,
When tuning your Active CTLE, there seem to be two camps: 1) set the CTLEâs
peak at fundamental frequency and 2) set the CTLEâs pole and zero to match
the channelâs insertion loss as much as possible (given the limitation of
the amp bandwidth).
Do these come into play: 1) Encoding (no encoding, 8b10b), 2) signaling
(single-ended, differential), 3) channel loss at fundamental frequency, 4)
crosstalk near CTLE response.
What other considerations are made to decide how to shape the CTLEâs
pole/zero response?
Thank you in advance.
