Yannick,

This is exactly what Broadcom recommends for the 
BCM5421S to reduce the clock input swing.

You can also explore using a clock driver like the 
Motorola MPC9446 which will give you both 2.5V and 3.3V 
clock outputs, with either 2.5v or 3.3v clock input.
